My Colourful Heart: Journey to Empowering All

The Opposite of Fitting In……. Belonging

Hey! I'm Meg, a stylist with over a decade of experience. But for most of that time, the industry felt like high school, trying so hard and yet still not quite fitting in. As an Autistic ADHD stylist, I craved a space that celebrated neurodiversity, not just tolerated it.

That longing sparked the creation of my one-on-one salon. It's more than a place to get a hair colour – it's a haven where everyone feels comfortable letting their guard down and expressing their unique selves. Seeing the joy in my clients' eyes, the confidence radiating from their smiles and the knowing we all have a space we belong – is what has brought me so much joy.

The Future's Bright: Colourful Minds

And that's why I'm building "Colourful Minds." It's more than a training program – it's a movement. It's about equipping salons with the tools to create welcoming spaces where everyone feels seen and heard. As over 70% of disabilities are invisible it is important to have open conversations about how we can all work together to be truly inclusive. "Colourful Minds" tackles this head-on, aiming to build amore supportive community for both stylists and clients.
